The target audience we have chosen is anyone over the age of 15 because they will be able to understand and relate to the issues and morals portrayed in our film, anyone under the age of 15 may not find it interesting as it highlights serious issues rather than themes of fantasy which younger viewers are interested in. This target audience are older students and younger adult and possibly middle aged people, these people have would have heard of the Darren Brown event or tried the experiment. They are people from our society who are interested in current events on what is going around in the world of media such as film and television.
The target audience is based mainly in the UK as the Darren Brown show was broadcast as a UK television production, it was a huge hit with the nation.
We have determined this by using the BBFC classification Guideline. Our film would be classed under the rating of PG (Parental Guidance) for the following reasons:
There is no discrimination shown of any kind
There is no references to illegal drugs or the use of drugs
Our film contains very mild themes of supernatural events.
The film does not contain any bad language, nudity or sex.
Although we have chosen to aim it at an audience over the age of 15, anyone from the age of 8 and above may watch it as it is a PG rated film.
