We were trying to research ideas for inspiration. We decided that we wanted to base our film on an every day situation which took and unusual turn. We were inspired mainly by the 'Black Hole' story idea which was based on an unexpected happening, although we didn't want to have a cliche idea which was too similar.
The Darren Brown live show about making the public sit stuck in their chairs at home was a huge spectacle at the time. We were discussing different possibilities of ideas but could not come up with a solid idea. Then an idea came into our minds; We could include the Darren Brown idea to influence the protagonist so that he would become stuck in a situation. It was very brief at the time but started to develop slowly. After brainstorming for a few minutes we finally came up with a complete idea.
